"Because the ten commandments imply YOUR god - of those 86 percent - there are a variety of Gods some of whom have there own rules to live by which are different. Beyond that the idea is not to exclude or offend the minority is it? We are not okay offending various races that are only 14 percent of our population just because they are a minority are we? that 14 percent is a religious minority."
Hi Anonymous, This post may offend some..but that's okay. I was just stating the facts of where our country started and where we are now. Our beautiful country was also founded on majority rule. Which means no matter what the cause, there will always be a minority that's left unhappy. I'd love to see Roe Vs. Wade overturned...but being in the minority means I have to accept that mothers all over our country can legally murder their children while in the womb. I'm greatly offended by this. I'd love to see the majority feel my pain over this and appease me because of it. It'd be wonderful! Think about this...with out these laws given so long ago by God, where would we be now? Isn't sad that we need a moral code to follow? If we don't follow these laws which in way give us our morals..then whose laws/morals do we follow? Isn't it sad that we needed to be told not to steal? Not to kill? God gave these guidelines in much the same way a parent does a child..we say don't run in the street..don't touch the stove...Why? Because we love our little one's & we don't want them to have to suffer the consequences of their actions. God does the same. He loves each of us so much that He doesn't want us to have to suffer the consequences...& so He gave us the guide lines..down to the simplest "don't lie".. Because we are who we are..We need to be reminded not to lie, not to steal, not to worship any other God. We're only human after all and I know I for one fall short of these laws quit often. I'm thankful for the reminders. Our nation leaders built our country to be strong, to be one that honored God...The One True God, not the god or god's of the minority. They also knew they needed to be reminded of how to be a moral, upright nation...and so they post it where it could be seen then...and still it's needed. Our leaders need to look and be reminded.
As For Me And My House, We Will Serve The Lord..Joshua 24:15
I'm sorry if I offended anyone...but for my God I will always stand firm. Offend or not.
Because of Him, alysha

DID YOU KNOW? Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said:
'It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not By religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.'
DID YOU KNOW? Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.
DID YOU KNOW? Fifty-two of the fifty-five founders of the Constitution were members of the established Orthodox churches in the colonies.
DID YOU KNOW? Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law anoligarchy? The rule of few over many.
DID YOU KNOW? The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said:
'Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers.'
How then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this Country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional? Lets put it around the world and let the world see and remember what this great country was built on. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. So, it is very hard to understand why there is such a mess about having the Ten Commandments on display or 'In God We Trust' on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why does the other 14% have such a strong voice? We who believe need to come together & let our voice be stronger then theirs...
Our God NEVER abandoned us...But we as a country are abandoning Him and we see the effects of it now in every area of our society. He guides those who listen...
"your ears shall hear My voice behind you, saying, 'This is My way, walk in it'." Isaiah 30:21
Our country started strong as our leaders walked in the way of the Lord. Look where we're at today..Hmmm.

She let me know thru tears that she wanted to eat like the lady bugs do so she tried out a fox tail...you know, those pesky weeds that stick at a point in your socks and flare out at the ends? Well, it had gotten stuck on it's way down. I ended up spending 7 hours of some not so fun quality time in the ER with Naomi.
Naomi with her lady bugs..
And now for good news...we'll be sending out our dossier for Isaac tomorrow to be apostilled..we've been told it should be about a week till we have it back...then we're going to be submitting it!!! YAY!! Andrea from RR says it'll probably be only about 4 weeks till we'll have a travel date for our Isaac :) That means it's really possible we'll be traveling around the end of May or early June. Just in time for Summer break :) Oh, I can't tell you how good it'll be to meet our little man. I already picked out a cute small back pack for him to use as his carry-on when he comes home...a small child's sized pack with the FOX logo across the front. I know it's a little soon...but I couldn't resist it~After all, he'll be a Fox when he leaves with us to come home :)
So that was my crazy weekend. Today I'm enjoying my kids and getting ready to start my week again tomorrow. I'm so thankful to the Lord for all he's done and is doing in our family. I can't imagine living a life without Him.

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women.. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. "The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. "In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun.. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage, You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious children die. You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need!
" Men and women are three-part beings. We al l consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. "As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge..... Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!" Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man's speech.. Please feel free to copy this & send this out to everyone you can. Many thanks & God bless.

Wanted to share the wonderful email we got this morning from Officer Wilson in regard to our I-800a application....
Hello Mathew and Alysha:
I hope this email finds you both well. I am delighted to inform you that I have approved your I-800A application. The Notice of Approval will be sent out today via US Mail. I look forward to assisting you further throughout this process.

How great is that?! Hang on Levi...Almost there!!! And how sweet of her to personally email us and let us know we've been approved!
I was looking at the adorable pictures of our boys this morning while I was cooking breakfast (their both hanging on our fridge) and I just got so overwhelmed with love & longing for them...
I haven't mentioned it before, but about 2 weeks ago we (the families adopting from ROG) where told that due to lack of government funding to the foster families our waiting children are now back in the orphan house for their best interest. This way we know their physical needs are being met while they wait for us to come for them. Of course want whats best for our little one's but at the same time we know that this move was a very devastating one to the children. Levi had been in Irma's home for 7 months. Before his move to her home he laid in a crib day after day. At 3 years old our little boy still didn't sit up~then he went to live with Irma where he was given the love and attention he needed, and after only about a month he was sitting on his own :). We have a couple of pictures of him with Irma and you could see her tenderness toward him in the photo's. My heart hurts for our Levi who just lost his only real idea of a mama. I can't wait to have him home to be able to mother him and let him know he's forever our boy. The one thing I cling to is that Levi was with Hannah (also waiting to come home) and I hope their finding comfort in each other.
Robin from Hopscotch Adoptions is traveling over to-------on Tuesday. We'll be sending a small gift for our son with her. Please join us in praying for her safety on her trip and that God will move in mighty ways this next week while she's there. I envy her :) Wish I could go too, but then I'd have a heck of a time leaving Levi behind again :( Pray too for Irma whose lost 2 precious children that she's mothered for quite a while...I know if I were her it'd be really hard on me to see them go back to where they came from instead of to their families. I wish she could know how grateful we are to her for the care & love she gave our Levi. Well, that's it for now.
Love you Isaac. Love you Levi...as your nights began know I send a good-night hug and kiss to those little cheeks. love mama

We met with our doctor & a notary of Friday for our physicals to be done..Yay!! I think of all the paper work, the physicals, lining up a notary and getting our doctor to share his time for us is by far the most challenging. I'm so glad to have it done! Our doctor was so great about it all and even stayed 45 min. past his go home time to meet with the notary..(this way it didn't interfere with other patients). We got our I-800a fingerprints done for Levi on Wednesday and now we await our INS approval. We already have our approval for Isaac, just waiting to meet with the notary from Mat's work to have every thing signed for both our dossiers. Once that's done we'll send them both off to be apostillized. When we get them back Isaac's will be submitted while we wait for our I-800a approval. Kinda scary to be submitting them so close together, but it's just worked out that way with Nika's adoption being able to proceed. It's been nice being able to conquer killing two birds with one stone so to speak :)
So there's my thoughts for tonight. Luvn my boys and thinking of them. Love you Levi, Isaac. Good night, mama.

I'm looking forward to seeing my family this week-end. They ground me and make me feel at ease again. My side of the family has been more then supportive of our adoptions..no negative words, only encouragement and words of assurance...my uncle asks.."so whens my nephew's gonna be home?" Already claiming our son's as theirs too. I love it. So with this day coming to an end for us, our Isaac and Levi start their days. Lord be with our boys..be with all the little one's waiting for their families. Night my Isaac, my Levi. Love you much.
